Web 2.0: Are You Ready For The “Ping Factor?”
January 7, 2007
Normally, I don't stop doing what I'm doing to read a 50 page report. But for some reason I decided to it this time AND I'm glad I did.
WOW! Is all I can say.
The Death of The Salesletter by Michel Fortin is honestly one of the best reports I've read. It really puts the whole web 2.0, internet marketing, sales and sales copy in perspective.
I urge you to pick up the free report and take time out of your busy day to read it. I'm already, using all of the ideas that have started jumping out of my dense head to provide a better customer experience.
Here are just a few of the items that I really liked about the report:
- Michel provides a great web 2.0 definition for use with internet marketing. It really simplifies what you need to do;
- Provides a clear idea (with examples) between short and long sales copy;
- He explains his comment, "Text Tells but pictures Sell", not the pictures your probably thinking about;
- Explains how to effectively use videos to earn credibility and reassure the customer about their buying decision;
- Covers the AIDA Formula: Attention, Interest, Desire and Action
- DIscusses how human nature determines human behavior;
In closing, Michel sums it up best by writing, "Audio is still copy. Video is still copy. Even programs that demand interaction are still copy. It's all copy. And it's all about salesmanship."
If I haven't said it enough, you need to read this report. You can do this by heading over to MichelFortin.com and look for his post…The Death of The Salesletter.
If you're thinking that you want to learn more about adding interactivity and Video to your blog's and websites then you can find more information by heading over to vblog secrets to learn more.
