Work From Home or Be a Corporate Geek?

Hmmmm, that is the million dollar question?
What would you rather do, work from home or be a corporate geek?
The answer for me is clear, I would rather make money online than make money on a W2. And recently I had an opportunity to affirm my direction of being a work from home, stay-at-home dad!
Let me explain…
About two months ago I received a request from a friend of mine. He wanted me to join the organization that he works for to help them with their eCommerce system. Clarification is needed here but this sounds cool right? Well yes and no.
I wanted to help out my friend so I agreed to sign up as a consultant.
WOW! I forgot all the BS you have to go through while working in the corporate environment. All the corporate speak that makes no sense and all the passive aggressive people employed there just zap your enthusiasm.
Why do company’s allow this BS to go on?
I have no idea but man it really hurts the forward progress of the organization. Have you run into people that don’t care about the company but care more about making decisions to improve their kingdom? They make decision to help their careers or others within their organization but ultimately they hurt all of the other employees.
Crazy I know.
But fortunately for me I drank the self-employed kool-aid!
This was just another reminder that my decision to be a niche blogger and an internet marketing geek was the right path for me,
S0 take my advice…
There is nothing better than making money online and being able to call your own shots.
So how do you get this?
I would not be completely truthful if I said it was easy. It took me a few years to get things right. My recommendation is simple. Read, learn and take action, Do not sit on the sidelines waiting to get in the game.
… if you do wait you may find that life has passed you by and the words that come out of your mouth sound like corporate speak. Soon nobody will understand you.
Do youself a favor and do whatever it takes to become your own work at home guru!

very inspiring thoughts.. I’m starting my step toward this path and though my blogs didn’t have that much better than anyone have but i just hope that through continuous learning and studying, i believe to have my sacrifice worth rewarding in return.
