Using a MAC To Make Money Online

May 7, 2008

Make Money OnlineRecently, I made the shift back to a MAC.

Several years ago I was a MAC person but because I was in business I was forced to conform.  I know, I was subject to the inconvenience of having to use two computers.  One for business and one…well one to be creative.

I am happy to say that I have shifted back.

Yes I am a MAC person and it all started with my 13 year old daugher.  I showed her how cool MACs are two Christmas’s ago and then she was hooked.

Then my wife really liked them, so I bought her one.

For me, I was still using a PC.

Well about a month or so ago I made the shift and WOW.  I’m a blogger by trade and the tools that can be used with a MAC to make money online are awesome.  If you think about it, many of the cool resources are browser based anyway so making the shift back just made sense.

But I digress.  You probably, wanted to read the post, because you wanted to find out how I use my MAC to make money, right?

Th truth is that the concepts are the same whether you’re using a PC or a MAC.  The big difference is the ability to deliver high quality content that otherwise was a little more difficult with a PC.  It could be done and many are doing it daily but for me a MAC has helped me become more productive by using software that just works the way my mind works.

For instance, I do a lot of video and I used a program called Camtasia (really good program) but now I use a program called Screenflow (I really like this program.)  For me it is faster to export and it is incredibly easy to edit my videos.

Other software tools that I enjoy using on a MAC are programs that help me Mind Map out my ideas.  In fact, I utilize these in my videos.

Overall, if you are trying to make money online then you may want to consider using a MAC to do so.  Although the concepts don’t change, the ease of use and creativity are enhanced.

Just my two cents!

I just see no difference. Most of the programs for Mac you can download to Windows and vise versa. In my opinion, it’s just a matter of preference. Oh, and there is another one: people who use Macs think they’re more cool. :D So the Mac is a part of style.

    Hey Million Dollar,

Thanks for stopping by. You post made me laugh but I can honestly say that now that I have my MAC I am a really cool dude. I stopped wearing black socks with my sandals and my teenager will actually talk to me! :-D

But you are right. The tools that work on a MAC have a counterpart that works on a PC. However, the MAC’s version are awesome. And to your point, make you the coolest. :-D

    Keep the faith!

I have heard that Mac is more or less similar, only well suited for high end graphical applications. So far as money making is concerned I think you need same hard work.

Hi Chandra, Hard work is always the key component in any successful endeavor. If people don’t believe that they they have no business. But… If a new tool comes down the road that helps you work smarter, wouldn’t you use it? Greg http://www.marketingsoftwaretools.com

It’s like in basketball it depends who uses what. Allen Iverson could school you with a pair of puma’s on. Meanwhile I could go buy some $300 shoes and shit on the bench all game in the rec center =P
