What is a Blog, Anyway?

Encouraging news: not everyone sees the value in blogging, yet.
After a doctor’s appointment today, I had a meeting with a former executive of a Fortune 500 Company. We spent an hour together; I listened to him tell me about what he’s doing now. Then, he popped the question……
“What is a blog, anyway?”
He was serious.
So, respectfully, I gave him my answer. Since a simple answer was required, I said, “It is an easier and faster way to communicate with your readers.”
I also explained to him the power of an RSS feed.
He had no idea what I was talking about. And get this, he’s not even 40.
I’m not sharing this excerpt with you to make fun of him. I’m simply suggesting that if you think EVERYONE is blogging, think again.
