Habits of the Top Internet Marketers

August 30, 2007

As I am building the JV contact information list for Blogging For Riches, I’ve been running into a lot of good information.  Today, I found a site that will inspire you.  When you get a minute, go to Habits of the Top Internet Marketers

Before this afternoon, I had no clue who Todd Brown is.  Really, you don’t have to know him either.  Just listen to what he says in his videos.

What impressed me about him was his passion.  Without notes, he banged out 8, 5-10 minute videos about what top internet marketers think about and do.  His “tell it like it is” approach makes the videos compelling.  Moreover, he requires no opt-in and makes no sales pitch.  He simply delivers.

Because it is so good, I bookmarked it.  Maybe you should, too.

How You Can Take The Power of Forum Marketing To The Next Level

August 29, 2007

On May 12, 2007, I wrote about the value of using forums to market your business.  The title of the post was Web Site Traffic and the Value of Forums.  Today, I want to share a review with you that I did on a piece of software that allows you to do this effectively.

How You Can Take The Power of Forum Marketing To The Next Level

Review of: Forum Equalizer
Reviewed by:  Greg Meares

Forums are one of the most popular ways to advertise your website.  This is because it’s not only a great way to get traffic and incoming links, but it’s also a fun way to network with others.

You get to post comments or ask questions.  And, in return, you get instant traffic through your website link, (and you get to see the feedback others offer.)

What Are The Benefits to Making Money Online?

August 27, 2007

The benefits to making money online are as numerous as the hairs on your head.

“Okay, so there are a lot of them……benefits, that is.”

As I think about the biggest benefit for me, it means freedom more than anything else.

Having a boss is for the birds!

A few years ago, when I was selling subprime loans, I encouraged a friend of mine to seek self-employment.  She was working for a Fortune 1000.  She was supporting a teenage son.

It was easy for me to talk; I was in a straight-commission job with the nation’s largest lender.

Eighteen months ago, it was time to make the jump into the self-employment world.  My friend was all too glad to encourage me with a gentle nudge.

We both made our fair share of mistakes in the beginning.

It is all worth it now.  We paid the price for our freedom.

What is the price for your freedom?  We’ll help you pay it!

Product Launch and the Details

August 27, 2007

The details of a product launch are critical.  There are so many components that need to be thought through to ensure a positive experience for your customer, that at times it can be exhausting.

For instance, Jerry and I are working on the release of Blogging For Riches and on Friday we meet to cover a few of the details.  We went through our project plan to review what we've accomplished and to re-prioritize so we could get clear on our release date.

It was a good meeting but as always time went by to quickly.

For those of you that don't know, Blogging For Riches is a video tutorial that charts our progress of building niche blogs.  We actually provide our viewers with a birds-eye view as we build profitable niche blogs, (we even take an old static site and convert it to our platform of choice and watch as traffic and profits are generated.)

One of the key details that we are working through is our delivery of the product.  Jerry and I both agree that we're going to set up the product page as a online hub for our customers, similar to a membership site, except that it is only a one time cost.

In doing so we can easily add additional bonuses and video updates with new tools for our customers.  This will ensure that Blogging For Riches, always stays on the cutting edge.  We think our customers will appreciate this and the high quality will help our overall business.

Our challenge is deciding which script we are going to use to manage this process.  Initially, I was thinking that using the aMember Pro script from CGI Central was what we were going to use because I use this script on other membership sites that I have and it works well.

But then I began to look at EasyMembershipPro because for $297 you can purchase a license to use on any number of sites that are developed.  This would give us scalability.  I opened up a support ticket with them to find out if it would meet our specs for this product launch.  Apparently the next release of the script will incorporate our needs and since we're not sure when this release will happen,  we are forced to continue looking.

I continued to search and found a solution (I think), in a product that I knew existed, but didn't realize that it could meet our needs.  It's called DLGuard.   Based on the features, it appears to works perfect for our product page. We can host all of our content in a protected area.

Jerry and I haven't made a firm decision as of yet but we welcome your feedback.  Let us know what script you use and why.  Please leave your feedback in our comments section.

Thanks
Greg

My Kid is a Social Networking Junkie

August 23, 2007

I’m a father of two daughters. Just because of that simple piece of information you should show pity for me! In fact, you should buy me a beer (scroll to the bottom of this post and you’ll understand how shameless that was!)

One of my daughters is 12 and the other is 5. Both great kids but man do they wear me out.

They’re into everything. And honestly, I need to follow my 12 year old around a lot more. She could teach any blogger a thing or two about social networking. She’s a master at it. But I started it all…

See I showed her myspace.com, I showed her an Macbook, I showed her Facebook.com. You think I would learn.

Oh did I mention that she has a cell phone and maybe uses the phone functionality 5 times a month. When I get the bill it looks like the yellow pages. She is a texting fiend.

I must say that she is special when it comes to staying in touch with everybody.

So when I saw the following cartoon, I thought of her. However, I am smart! I learn from my mistakes. I’m not even going to tell her about Paypal.com.

An Innocent PayPal Scam

Web 2.0 Wealth System Just Released

August 21, 2007

As you may already know, Jerry and I are on the verge of releasing our very profitable…Blogging For Riches.  Blogging is what we know and how we make a living.  That is why when I saw this latest product release (I knew it was coming out), I decided to investigate it a little.

The name of the product is Web 2.0 Wealth System.

And I really like the concept.  I think using a system like this makes a lot of sense.  Since I read the owners blog on occasion I decided to sign-up for his newsletter.   I received the following email so I decided to include it in this post.

Some of our readers may be too experienced for a system like this but others I know will find value.  Please let me know your thoughts by leaving me a comment.

—————————————————

Hi Greg,

Tired of listening to empty promises? Isn't it about time you get a
guaranteed chance to be successful? Don't believe me? Here are
quotes from what early adopters had to say:

Joe: "You stated that this product is for beginners, I have to say
that it's more than that! I thought I had a good understanding of
the ins and outs of a blog. I have to tell you I learned more than
I could imagine in every video I watched. …. The system is
designed to get paid in the first week, I got paid in the first
day!"

Denny: "Do not believe all the hype about how easy it is to set up
an income producing blog. Alex really emphasizes how to choose a
"profitable" niche. The mechanics just take some time and you can
follow the steps one by one. … My Web 2.0 Wealth blog is
vintageguitartips I actually have produced income already, and see
much more ahead as I refine my blogs and gain more understanding."

I know what you are thinking right about now …

Yeah, more of marketing buddies leaving hyped up comments for each
other, right? Well guess again! These comments come from beta
testers chosen from real blog comments and fully verifiable. Here
is another quote:

Rangoo: "I was surprised you decided to choose me when I told you I
would be "brutally honest".

Now I know why you chose me. You were ready to receive frank
comments because of two main reasons:

1. You knew your package was a great one.

2. You wanted the package to be the best. You chose beta testers
who were hard to please, so that you could carry out revisions and
make the package the best."

Still don't believe me? I understand and was prepared for it! Visit
this page and read the comments for yourself (hint: link to blog
with comments available at the bottom of page):

that even a complete technical novice can setup AND ..

You will get several hours of "no fluff" videos to walk you through
every step of the way:

Web 2.0 Wealth System

All you need is determination to FINALLY be successful!

Sincerely,
Alex

P.S. Product comes with 8 weeks ironclad guarantee. Alex takes all
the risks if you take the action:

Web 2.0 Wealth System

Here are some more quotes from customer’s feedback:

————-
"What I liked about the Web Wealth 2.0 is that the video
step-by-step tutorial is excellent, with detailed understanding,
and cut the crap by providing the straight to point answers on
steps you need to do make your blog to start making an income.
What I need to do is simply to follow the steps, and have got
everything up and running pretty fast."
—————
Your Web 2.0 Wealth program is so comprehensive, so well thought
out, and so easy to understand that it is truly in a class by
itself. It is far beyond anything I expected, and it has already
helped me so much!

Alex, your Web 2.0 Wealth videos are FANTASTIC! They took me from
total rookie-newbie (I had never put up a website before–or even a
free blog!) to having my own monetized WordPress blog in one week!

This system is getting a lot of fanfare.  I believe it's worth a lookie!

Too Much Information?

August 16, 2007

Information Overload is becoming a real concern. Understanding how to "deal" with everything that comes at you is imperative. But how do you do that especially when all that information appears to be important.

If you're trying to make a living online, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Questions come to mind such as, "do I need this information to make more money in my business?" or "would having this information help me finally crack the code?"

All legitimate questions, and how are we to know what is truly important. After all we don't want to miss out!

My solution came to me a little more than a year ago.

I decided to get clear on what I wanted to achieve and how I wanted to do it. Once I did that I was able to maintain enough focus to actually get things done. Until you do this, you'll chase all different methods to make money online. The key for me was that I realized there are many different ways to make money online but you have to focus your energy on only one or two. In doing so, I was able to apply enough focus and execution to make my choices financially successful.

Want some help clearing your mind and getting right?

You'll find Rich Schefren's most recent post, Eliminate Information Overload, to be very help. I urge you to read it and think about it.

Internet Marketing & Social Networking Go Hand-In-Hand

August 15, 2007

Does it seem like EVERYONE wants to know about it, but NO ONE knows what it is?

The Thirty Day Challenge is an excellent way for one to ‘dive into the deep end’ of internet marketing.  As the Challenge reached the half-way mark today, I’m really amazed at only one thing:

It seems that many people ‘don’t get it.’

Ed Dale is building a social network with TDC.  It seems that very few of the students understand it at all.  As Ed develops his following, he’s not the only one who should be doing it.  It is vital to the health of any internet marketer to develop a following.  There are no shortcuts, folks.  Building a following takes time, a lot of time.

Building a blog is only the beginning.  What separates those who succeed from those who don’t are the same factors that determine any offline success.

Therefore, while Ed & Dan are ‘teaching up a storm’ on TDC, many ’students’ are having trouble with the concept of social media and its purpose.

Look, as a marketer, one must realize that there is intense competition for the same disposable dollar as any offline marketer knows.  An internet marketer must always be ‘on’.  One must still follow the basic tenets of selling and relationship-building.

Ah, relationships……..

In order to make the most of internet marketing today, being a part of many social networks will pay dividends toward building relationships.

Come back tomorrow; I will have a list of social networks you cannot live without.
